Riding on the Green Cycle allows you to blow through the city with amazing consistency and confidence.  You can safely integrate with the flow of the traffic thanks to the electric power.  You simply press the thumb-throttle and GO!  The ride is an absolute blast through the city streets, especially when you are passing them all because it's rush-hour!

The rigid frame and large wheels are intended to provide the BEST performance on city streets and maintained trails because the reality is that almost nobody rides their bikes off-road.  If you want to go off-road in dirt or downhill with a full suspension, this isn't the bike for you.  We intended this to be a revolutionary alternative for getting around town.

Brushless Hub Motor
These cycles pull you ahead with Amped Bikes 36V / 500 watt brushless hub motor built discreetly into the front double-walled aluminum wheel. These motors require ZERO maintenance and brushless motors are 20-30% more efficient than any brushed motors.

The motor runs silently, it's waterproof and handles the demands of the constantly hilly Los Angeles terrain like a champ. 

Practicality
The rear-rack is extremely strong and a Sunlite carrier attached to it contains the 22amp controller and battery.  The air-vent directly in front of the controller keeps everything cool. 

With the battery in place, there is plenty of free space to store anything else you want to take with you such as your wallet, keys, phone, gloves, change of clothes, anything your heart desires.  Panniers can be added to this rack if you would like even more storage space.

The full-length fenders are light, elegant and functional.  We don't understand how some bicycles don't have fenders, that is completely unacceptable.  The protection from water, dirt, sand, or mud is priceless.  A chain guard also keeps your clothes from touching a greasy chain. It also keeps the chain clean!

FREE!  Bicycle Gloves!  These are essentially gloves with cushioning to absorb bumps, keep your hands clean, and the finger tips are cut off so you can still use your hand like normal (to use your phone, hold tiny things, etc).

Green Cycles 36v / 15ah LiFePO4 Battery

The battery comes with nothing less than Green Cycle's very own Lithium (LiFePO4) battery made specifically for this bike.  This is a powerful 36V / 15ah power pack that weighs only 12lbs.  You can read more about it here.

Range - 45 miles (72 km)

Range will vary depending on how hard you decide to pedal, how many hills are on your route and how heavy (or light) you are as well.  So what we can do is tell you what WE have commonly experienced.

• My brother and I weigh 170-180lbs.
• We ride in all parts of Los Angeles.  In LA, the geography is full of hills.  We are usually either riding up or down a hill (70% hills / 30% flat land).
• We tend to hold full throttle and pedal moderately to speed ourselves up even more.
• Doing the above with moderate pedal power we have commonly experienced a range of 40-45 miles on a single charge.  We would assume that if we didn't pedal at all, the motor-assisted range would be 20 miles max.

We always pedal when we ride because...

• We get to our places even faster.

• It extends your battery life.

Security
The carrier is impossible to remove and you can lock it with a key ensuring the battery and its contents cannot be stolen.  The rear wheel has an integrated lock so the bike cannot be ridden at all.

FREE! Combo Cable Lock
This lock attaches to the frame when you are riding (doesn't take any carrier space).  When you want to park your bike, run this cable through the front wheel and frame and lock it to a fixed metal object.  This, in addition to your integrated rear wheel lock, provides greater piece of mind.  Also because it is a combination lock, you won't carry extra keys.

Night Time Riding

FREE! Front and Rear Lights!
Standard on our bikes are the Blackburn Quadrant front and Mars 3.0 rear lights.  It is not only SAFE to have lights at night but the LAW!

We always tend to continue riding even when it gets dark out (winter days are short!) and we have tried several lights to come to this choice.  They provide great illumination even when it's pitch black.

These lights are water-resistant, the construction is very sturdy and powered by easy-to-find AA batteries.  The front light has 4 bright LED's that can also be seen from the sides (very important for safety).  Running on the high-steady mode, it has a run-time of 110 hours!

#1 Flat Tires, NO MORE!

Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires are STANDARD. No other tire can compete to the puncture protection of this tire.  They also provide excellent grip in dry or wet weather and the thin reflective sidewalls increase your visibility.  You can drive thumbtacks into these tires and they will not lose air thanks to a thick smartguard layer.

#2 Chain/Shifting/Derailleur Problems, NO MORE!

A Shimano 3-speed internal-gear hub eliminates the derailleur completely. A minimalist's dream!
